About The Artist

I am an illustrator and author from Manchester. I have just finished the Children’s Book Illustration MA at the Cambridge School of Art. I have always enjoyed creating dark and mysterious artwork, with a sense of narrative running throughout. I draw inspiration from film, myth, folklore and fantasy, alongside everyday life and the lessons it brings. I love to play with tension, humour and meaningful moments through printmaking and inks. This work is made using an intaglio printmaking process with a recycled milk carton (Tetra Pak), combined with digital colour. The artwork comes from a book I am working on, about a child who lives in a vast forest and has never been seen or heard. They only come out at night when all the Giants, Monsters and Men are asleep — but one night something different occurred.
